I.INTERNATIONAL CARP ANGLING COMPETITION AT LAKE BALATONDate: 21st-22nd-23rd-24th-25th-26th-27th of April, 2013.
The first day of the competition:
21st of April, 2013
-arrival of the groups to the location of the competition (2. Strand Street, Balatonakali, Holiday Camping 12.00)
-draw: 2.00pm
-presentation of angling equipment dealers: 4.00pm
-occupation of angling spots, camp constructions
-common dinner
Locations of the competition:
I. –sector: Alsóőrs Europe Camping 12 teams
II. –sector: Csopak Beach area 8 teams
III. – sector: Balatonakali Holiday Camping 17 teams
IV. –sector: Balatonakali Beach area 8 teams
V. –sector: Balatonakali Naturist Camping 7 teams
VI. –sector: Balatonszepezd Venus Camping 8 teams
We can receive maximum 60 groups to the competition!
Beginning of the competition: 22nd of April, 10.00am
-from 8.00-10.00am: radiolocation, water-bottom mapping, buoy leading, feeding
-10.00 the start of the competition
End of the competition:
27th of April, 10.00am – total period of competition: 120hours
Entry fee of competition:-700 Euro/team. Payment is in two installments. 50% upon application: 350EUR/team, the payment order counts in the draw!
-At the arrival to the competition, prior the draw: 50% 350EUR/team.
Only groups which paid the entry fee can take part of the draw!
Deadline of entry fees:
30th of March, 2013. The entry of the competition is possible through email address

Entry fee contains:
-price of the Balaton angling permission
-hot and cold water supply (showering facilities)
- use of the toilet (obligatory)
-electricity usage
-local taxes
-fee of pitching
Groups shall bring 50m extension cable to connect with electricity!

-winner of the competition and the podiums (ranger cup + prize money)

General information:
-The contest is a team competition, each team consists 3 members plus one support is available, who is a full member and will be remunerated.
-Maximum 4 people can take part of the contest, which names have to be specified prior beginning.
-Minimum number of the team is 3 people!
-The competition occurs on the designated sectors of Balaton’s coast, on the teams’ individually fenced camp site.
-Every team must fence its camp site off during the period of the competition (with flags, tapes, ropes) PROHIBITED to let external support or relatives in!
-During the period of the contest 3 people always have to be present on the designated area.
-The extra person can help with uevery activity and he is registered as a full member of the team (net landing, weighing, feeding, buoy leading, angling).
Draw:
-The draw has three rounds.
-In the first round teams draw line number in the order of entry/team name.
-In the second round, based on the line number, teams draw sector number, which provides the sector’s drawn place.
-In the third round, based on the line number, teams draw the start site within the sector on which they will angle during the contest.
Rules of angling:
-Every competitor is obligated to comply with the contest regulations!
-Each competitor must have their own country’s national angling permission.
-The entry fee contains the fee of lake Balaton’s areal permission.
-After the draw teams can occupy their angling spots in the sectors and can build their camps. The can go on the water in no condition because they will be immediately disqualified from the contest.
The beginning and the end of competition:
-The first bagpipe and rocket signal indicates: radiolocation, water-bottom mapping, buoy leading, feeding. (22nd of April,2013. 8.00am)
-The second bagpipe and rocket signal indicates the beginning of contest. (22nd of April, 2013. 10.00am)
-The third bagpipe and rocket signal indicates the end of the contest. (27th of April,2013. 10.00am).
-After the sound signal which indicates the end of the contest every team is obligated to leave its angling place with all of the tools and equipments orderly and cleanly.
-For this they have 3 hours after the final whistle.
-After the final whistle of the contest, gathering at the location of the draw.
-Award ceremony and prize distribution: 3.00pm.
Tools, equipments:
-Competitors may keep and put together as many rods as they wish, but they can only angle with 6 rods and with 6 fish-hooks at the same time.
-Every team can use 3 rods for sling or rocketry besides the six rods in the water and the marker bobber rod.
-During angling only the so-called boili rods are permitted. PROHIBITED to use feeder, match, stacking, spinner, fan, surf rods for angling.
-Surf (maximum 420 cm, 3,5 Lbs ) and spod rods can only be used for sling, feeder rocketry and marker bobbering.
-Baited rod which are used for angling must be shorter than 4m.
-Only one fish-hook is allowed on each rod, the use of hair bib offering is a must!
-Each competitor can use 1 marker rod (with fish-hook)!
-Only traditional angling methods and rods are accepted with maximum 150g lead weight.
-Allowed to knead pastes and feeder materials on the lead.
-PROHIBITED to use feeding basket or method basket.
-Paste lead and boards loom are allowed.
-Floating is allowed with anything (cork, plastic imitation baits, sponge, floating boili).
-PROHIBITED to use bobbers (except for marker).
-Rods with marker bobbers should not be kept in the case of sown rods.
-PROHIBITED to use braided mainline.
-Braided bib cord can be used within 50cm length.
-Lead core shell-proof cord can be used within 100cm length.
-Monofilament main lines and monofilament throwing bib cannot be more than 0,5 mm.
-The electric, acoustic and visual bite indicators are allowed.
-PROHIBITED to use oscillating and vibrating spitz which can be fixed or is fixed on the spitz of the rod.
-Not allowed to pull in rods from the start site during angling, this can only happen when throwing.
-To designate angling the team can use 3 buoys which can be replaced at any time during the period of the contest with the supervision of the judges or the neighbour teammate. Buoy relocation has to be indicated to the judges of the contest on the former deliberation day!
- Only boats with electric motor or paddle can be used for buoy leading, feeding and radiolocation.
-Life jackets must be worn while using a boat.
-Only boili and pellet can be used for baiting which must be offered on hair bib.
-Seeds cannot be used for baiting!
-The usage of plastic fishing bait imitations is not allowed in itself, only mounted to a boili!
-Sizes of boilies offered on rods are limitless!
Can be used for feeding:
-baits, crumbs, granules
-animal and plant origin flour
-factory and home-made boilies and pellet
-flavors, -plant origin seeds- groundbait adhesive, and groundbait soil, loess, clay
-PROHIBITED to use any live or dead animal for feeding or baiting.
- All kinds of synthetic material groundbait are FORBIDDEN.
- Maximum weight of grained crops measured in dry condition can be 50kg/team! Referees are entitled to randomly check the amount of this.
- Not allowed to use feeder boat!
-PROHIBITED to use any compressed air, gas or electrically powered device to get groundbait and bait into the water.
-Allowed to use feeding slingshot, catapult, throwing tube feeding rockets, sling and PVA products.
-PROHIBITED to light water with high-powered reflectors, but allowed to use lighting device in the camp, under umbrellas, and allowed to use head lamp during tiring, throwing in, baiting, and when putting fish into the net.
-After dusk the angling spot has to be very well lit.
-Allowed to use luminous buoy (3).
-Teams have to angle on the angling places designated for them.
- The placement of tents, party tents, umbrellas, personal belongings is possible within the territorry of the camp site.
-Every carp and amur counts into the contest which is more than 3kg.
-Help can be required (from team member, brought support, or the neighbour teammate) to successfully unhook a fish.
-PROHIBITED to catch a fish in a rule violating way.
-In case of catching a fish, it has to be stored undamaged until its measurement, after the measurement and the photograph it has to be released back in the water.
-We ask everyone to pay increased attention to fish put on a mattress, or they might get injured on paving or on soil.
-The use of carp mattress and carp sack is a must when placing a fish.
-Fish must be kept alive in the carp sack and the carp sack has to be fully under water.
-In one carp sack maximum 3 pieces of fish can be stored of 3-5kg ones, maximum 2 of 5-8kg, and 1 fish of above 8kg. Each amur has to be stored seperately because of the vulnerability of it.
-Every caught carp which is above 10kg, every amur which is more than 5kg and every accidentally caught catfish above 10kg has to be reported immediately! In these cases PROHIBITED to use colored disinfectant until the photograph is taken!
-Teams have to own enough carp sack (minimum 10-15/team, and 90x120cm or 90x150cm), which can be checked by the organizers of the contest at the beginning.
-If the carp sacks become full, immediate measurement has to be required.
-Compulsory tools: 2 or possibly 3 good quality carp mattresses, 2 minimum 90x90cm tightly woven dragnet (boili landing net)and disinfectant.
-If the caught fish dies, it does not count in the contest. If it is the fault of the competitor, he has to comensate the loss.
- If there is a catch before the final whistle, it counts into the contest even if the tiring ends after the bagpipe.
-Malpractice or otherbad behavior of the angler may result disqualification of the contest.
Rules of measurement:
-Every carp and amur counts in the competition which is over 3kg.
-In general cases measurement occurs in every 4 hours or by arrangement.
-Measurement has to happen within the particular team’s sector, weighing commissioners are available in every sector!
-The signal of the weigh has to be visible to both the organizers and the competitors.
-Only weighing commissioners, competitors and judges can remark in relation to the measurement apart from the organizers.
-Every fish has to measured in net weigher provided by the organizers, the fish is wetted then they weigh its net weight before the measurement.
-Each fish has to written on the weighing sheets separately. The measurements are done by the designated helpers.
-Must be present at the weighing: 2 team members, 1 weighing commissioner, 1 main admin and 1 person from the neighbour team (authenticator) which has to be certified with their signatures!
-Data of the catching will be on the catching sheet of the competing team which is certified by the signature of the competitor and the controller.
-Each team has 2 metering plate. One of them is with the organizers (weighing commissioner) the other one is with the teams.
-Competitors must keep nets containing fish in the water until the weighing team arrives to the start site. Thereafter one of the competitors has to put fish into the measuring net and put it on the weighing surface. Fish has to be released after the weighing.
-When the weighing procedure is over,the fish is released back in the water and the papers are signed, there cannot be complaint in relation to measurements. The weighing commissioner and the team member have to make sure that every measured fish is written on both weighing sheets. Fish that is only written on one of the weighing sheets does not count in the final counting. Only those can be counted which are on both weighing sheets.
-Each team will be informed on a daily basis about the state of the contest from a scheme which will will be handed out eash morning and evening.
Sanctions:
Implies disqualification from the comptetition:
-mutilated or damaged fish from negligence
-uncultured treatment of fish
-the use of banned baits and tools
-cheating
-The first warning is for being late (the entrant team does not arrive in time to the beginning of the contest) which is the ZEROTH day: the 21st of April,2.00pm so the team cannot take part of draw this way they have to take the remaining space!
(Exclusion occurs after the second warning!)
-if anyone else feeds or tires apart from team members
-if team members require outside support without permission, or if they start feeding and angling before the sound signals which indicate the beginning of contest
-if one of the team members does not behave worthy of an angler, and if they don’t store fish appropiately
-for using reflectors
-For large amounts of alcohol consumption, for being loud, for painting the town red. For disturbing other teams.
Organizers assign decisions made about this in their respective fields.
-Organizers have the right to impose sanctions to anglers, teams or helpers if they violate the rules during the competition and the announcement of the results.
-The organizers’ decisions are effective in each case, which is not stated in the rules above.
Evaluation:
-The winner of the competition (I. place) is automatically invited to the next year competition for free of charge!
-The final order is according to the caught total weight (total kilograms).
-In case of equal weights, the team with the biggest weight of fish take precedence.
-If there is still dead heat, than the team which has higher average weight (total weight/number of cathes) take precedence.
-And if this is equal as well, than the number of fish that can be evaluated decides!!!
-The contest can be interrupted at any time when the organizer comittee considers the competition dangerous because of weather conditions!
-Photos, video materials, interviews made by the organizers can be used!
-Teams can promote their sponsors with all kinds of advertisement materials on their territorry during the competition (molinos, flags).
